Notify NYC - Portal North Bridge Planned Work - NJ Transit Disruption (NYC)
Notification issued 02-14-2026 at 3:00 PM Due to planned work on the Portal North Bridge, NJ Transit will only be able to operate on a single track between Newark and Secaucus, resulting in fewer trains operating into Penn Station New York on weekdays on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) and the North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL). There will be no Midtown Direct service into Penn Station New York on weekdays on the Morristown Line, Gladstone Branch and the Montclair- Boonton Line. The work is scheduled to be complete by March 15th. Customers are asked to check schedules before traveling and allow for extra travel time.
