The National Weather Service has issued the following: What: Flash Flood Warning Where: Staten Island When: Until 5:45 PM on 7/9 Hazards: Heavy rain of 0.75 to 1 inches will cause flooding in the city, including on highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low-lying spots. Preparedness Actions: - If you are in a basement, move to the highest floor possible. - Do not drive your car into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
