Notification issued 3/27/15 at 1:10 PM. This is an update to the previously issued notification. Due to ongoing emergency operations, East 5th Street to East 10th Street is closed between 1st Avenue and 3rd Avenue in the East Village of Manhattan. If you require access to the affected areas, please bring identification for proof of residence or ownership. Expect intermittent closures in the area. Consider alternate routes and allow for additional travel time.

Notification issued 3/27/15 at 10:00 AM. Due to the building collapse at 2nd Avenue and East 7th Street in the East Village of Manhattan, 2nd Avenue is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from East Houston Street to East 14th Street. In addition, East 7th Street is closed from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue. Consider alternate routes and allow for additional travel time.

Notify NYC - Silver Alert
Silver Alert issued 3/27/15 at 2:52 AM. NYPD has issued a Silver Alert in regards to the disappearance of Yefim Futoryan, an 84-year-old white male from the area of Brightwater Court and Brighton 4 Street in Brooklyn. He was last seen at approximately 10:00 AM on 3/26 wearing a black jacket, black sweat pants, grey sneakers and a brown hat. Mr. Futoryan is described as 5'6" tall and weighs 165 pounds. Notification issued 3/27/15 at 2:05 AM. Emergency personnel are on the scene of a three alarm fire located at East 66th Street 1st Avenue in Manhattan. Expect smoke, traffic delays, and a presence of emergency personnel and vehicles in the area. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene advises avoiding smoke exposure from structural fires by closing windows while indoors and reducing outdoor activity where smoke is present. People with heart or breathing conditions such as asthma may be more sensitive and should seek immediate medical attention if they experience a worsening of their condition, shortness of breath, or chest pains.
