Notification issued 5/6/15 at 10:31 AM. Emergency personnel are on the scene of manhole fires at 8th Avenue and West 35th Street in Manhattan. Expect smoke, traffic delays, and a presence of emergency personnel and vehicles in the area. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene advises avoiding smoke exposure from fires by closing windows while indoors and reducing outdoor activity where smoke is present. People with heart or breathing conditions such as asthma may be more sensitive and should seek immediate medical attention if they experience a worsening of their condition, shortness of breath, or chest pains.

Notify NYC - NYS Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert
Alert issued 5/5/15 at 3:52 PM. The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services has issued a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for James Kildunne, an 81-year old white male from South Hempstead, NY. Mr. Kildunne is described as 6'0" tall, weighing 140 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. Mr. Kildunne suffers from dementia and may be lost or confused and in need of medical attention. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a tan sweater, and driving a red 2010 Acura TSX with New York registration BBF-3290. A missing poster is available at http://i.imgur.com/JqDZDds.jpg.
