Notify NYC - Mass Transit Disruption
Notification issued 2/12/16 at 4:45 PM. Due to a train with equipment trouble, Long Island Railroad service is suspended westbound only between Jamaica Station in Queens and Penn Station in Manhattan. NYC Transit is cross-honoring fares on the E train at (Sutphin Blvd) Kew Gardens (Union Tpke) Forest Hills (71st Ave) and Woodside. Port Washington Branch is not affected. Extreme Cold Weather (CW)
Notification issued 2/12/16 at 4:23 PM. Temperatures continue to drop to dangerously cold levels with life-threatening wind chills through the weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 4:00 PM Saturday through noon on Sunday for expected wind chills as low as 20 to 25 degrees below zero. New Yorkers are urged to limit their time outdoors and report heat and hot water conditions to property managers & 3-1-1. Remember to keep your pets safe, and check in on vulnerable friends, relatives and neighbors, including the elderly and people with disabilities and access and functional needs. Notify NYC - Wind Chill Advisory
Notification issued 2/12/16 at 12:28 PM. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory from 4PM Saturday, 2/13 thru 12PM Sunday, 2/14. Wind chill values of 20 - 25 degrees below zero are expected. New Yorkers should take precautions, including staying indoors when possible, checking on neighbors who may be at risk, including the elderly and people with disabilities, access and functional needs. Report loss of heat or hot water to property managers & 3-1-1.
