Alert issued 7/24/16 at 2:10 AM. Con Edison is asking customers in sections of Riverdale and Washington Heights to conserve energy while company crews work to repair equipment problems. Con Edison has also reduced voltage by 8 percent in those areas as a precaution to protect equipment and maintain service as repairs are made. Company crews are working now to repair the problem. Con Edison has asked customers in these areas not to use energy-intensive appliances such as washers, dryers, microwaves and, if not needed for health or medical reasons, air conditioners, until the equipment problems are resolved. Alert issued 7/23/16 at 9:22 PM. Con Edison is asking customers in sections of Harlem and East Harlem to conserve energy while company crews work to repair equipment problems. Con Edison has also reduced voltage by 8 percent in those areas as a precaution to protect equipment and maintain service as repairs are made. Company crews are working now to repair the problem. Con Edison has asked customers in these areas not to use energy-intensive appliances such as washers, dryers, microwaves and, if not needed for health or medical reasons, air conditioners, until the equipment problems are resolved.
