Notification issued 4/2/15 at 5:15 AM. Emergency personnel are on the scene of a three alarm fire located at East 78th St. Paerdegat 1st St. in Brooklyn. Expect smoke, traffic delays, and a presence of emergency personnel and vehicles in the area. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene advises avoiding smoke exposure from structural fires by closing windows while indoors and reducing outdoor activity where smoke is present. People with heart or breathing conditions such as asthma may be more sensitive and should seek immediate medical attention if they experience a worsening of their condition, shortness of breath, or chest pains.

In response to the building collapse that occurred at 2nd Avenue and East 7th Street in Manhattan on Thursday, 3/26, the Reception Center for affected residents, currently located at 331 East 10th Street, Manhattan, will move to the Community Board 3 Office, located at 59 East 4th Street, Manhattan, after close of business at 8 PM on Thursday, 4/2. Hours of operation at the new location will be from 9 AM to 5 PM on Friday, 4/3, and 9 AM to 3 PM Saturday, 4/4. The center will be closed Sunday.
